William T. Bird

 

Raised locally at Kirkton of Premnay, near Insch, William studied Engineering at Robert Gordon`s University in Aberdeen. 
 
Having known since a young age that he was destined to be a restaurateur, he spent 10 years working as a barman, waiter, Head Waiter, Assistant Manager, and latterly as the General Manager for The Olive Tree Group in Aberdeen, where he met his partner Beth.
 
Having worked his way up the ladder, the next step was to create somewhere of his own.  William has worked all over Scotland, including 3 years spent at the Glen Garry Castle Hotel on the West Coast, however his home town was the obvious choice and in October 2006 William opened the doors to his very own restaurant in Inverurie town centre.
 
 

Beth McDougall

 

Originally from Edinburgh, Beth studied at Grays School of Art, part of Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen.
 
After graduating in 2004 she worked for a year in two part-time positions splitting her time between Edinburgh and Aberdeen; working as Resource Assistant at Stills Photographic & Digital Media Gallery on the Capitals Cockburn Street and at The Olive Tree Group in Aberdeen.  Beth then became Marketing and Design Manager at The Olive Tree Group where she continued to work until Fennel opened its doors.
            
 
  
               
 
Fennel Restaurant is available for private corporate functions, with the maximum for a standing buffet being 60 guests.
